Fire Service Called To Rescue Person Stuck Waist Deep In Mud At Whitecliff Bay

The Isle of Wight Fire Service has reported multiple cases of people being stuck in mud over the past week.

Emergency services were sent to Wightcliff Bay at 9.56am yesterday morning (Sunday) to rescue a person stuck waist deep in mud.

Crews from Newport, Ryde and Bembridge accessed the holiday park using steps to the beach.

Rescue vehicles from Ryde and Newport also attended the scene.

We have asked for a full update on the person's condition.
