Walk-Ins Advised Not To Come To St Mary's Hospital Today

Islanders are being urged not to attend walk-in services at St Mary's Hospital today (Tuesday).

It's aftter two x-ray machines went out of action yesterday (Monday).

One of the machines has been fixed and no appointments and clinics have been affected.

However, people are advised to not attend the walk-in service today.

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust told Isle of Wight Radio:

'We can confirm that two of our x-ray machines were out of action yesterday. Engineers are currently onsite and have fixed one of our machines already. 

'Essential services have been maintained through our other equipment and appointments and clinics have not been affected.

'However, we advise people to not to attend the walk-in service today unless urgent.'

UPDATE 15/09 10.12AM

A spokesperson the Isle of Wight NHS Trust said:

'The two x-ray machines that were out-of-order are now up and running and we encourage people can use our services as normal.'
