Seaview Pub Picks Up National Award

The Old Fort in Seaview has been crowned Isle of Wight Pub & Bar of the Year 2024 in this year’s National Pub & Bar Awards.

The annual event seeks to showcase the UK’s finest pubs and bars on a national scale.

Having won ‘Best in County’, the multi-award winning seaside pub and restaurant is now up for ‘Best in Region’ and even in the running for the prestigious ‘National Pub & Bar of the Year’ in this years awards.

The winners will be announced at the National Pub & Bar Awards Grand Final in London on Wednesday June 26.

Will Simonds, Co-Owner and Proprietor of The Old Fort, said:

“What an absolutely incredible honour this is.

"We are beyond chuffed and incredibly grateful to our epic team who help make us what we are - and without whom, this achievement would simply not have been possible.

"Our team's continued hard work, energy, drive and dedication have put us on the map and made us a true destination pub for locals and visitors alike.”

Fellow Co-owner, Justin Evelegh, added:

“This victory belongs to each and every one of our fantastic team, and of course our lovely loyal customers for their ongoing support and love over the years - a huge thanks to you all from us both.

“A huge congratulations to our fellow county winners, there really was some stiff competition out there.

"This just goes to show that hard work does pay off!”
