Tourists 'Devastated' After Bikes Stolen From Newchurch Campsite

Tourists to the Isle of Wight say they're 'devastated' after their bikes, worth thousands of pounds, were stolen.

Police are investigating the incident, which is said to have happened at Southlands Caravan Club in Newchurch.

The family believe three bikes were taken in the early hours of Monday morning (19).

They're desperately appealing for help to relocate the bikes, which were apparently chained with locks.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:

"We’ve received reports of three bicycles having been stolen overnight on 18 July into 19 July at Southland Caravan site on Winford Road.

Posting of Facebook, one family member said:

"Didn’t think I’d be writing a post like this on my holidays, but I’ll get to the point. Unfortunately we woke up this morning to find that 3 of our road bikes have been stolen from Southland Caravan site in Newchurch.

"These bikes are our pride and joy and would appreciate it if you could take the time to have a look at the photo below to see if you have seen anything. If you have please get in touch."
