Can You Help Police To Identify Man Linked To Waitrose Theft?

Police are investigating the theft of bottles of spirits from Waitrose in East Cowes on Friday 12 April, and would like to speak to a man as part of enquiries.

The man in question is shown in this article's main image - with the public asked to get in contact if they recognise him.

If you know who this person is, please contact police on 101, quoting 44240158027.

You can also submit information online here: https://orlo.uk/l49IC

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111, or via their anonymous online form at https://orlo.uk/Oi3bx

The appeal comes as teams on the Island have been cracking down on business crime.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said:

"We recognise that shoplifting can often be accompanied by disorder, violence and threats, which creates an environment of fear for retail workers which is unacceptable.

"This is in addition to the impact that theft can have on businesses and consumers.

"The community are our eyes and ears, and we encourage you to keep reporting information to police relating to shoplifting."
