Sian Represents Isle Of Wight At National Young Farmers Award Ceremony

Islander Sian Grove narrowly missed out on a prestigious national farming accolade, after being shortlisted in the ‘Young Farmer of the Year’ category at this year's National Young Farmers Achiever Awards.

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday (November 2) at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham.

Sian was recognised for her contribution to the Island’s agricultural community.

She joined YFC without a background in farming and has gone on to hold roles in the IW club, now in her second year as Chair.

As a first-generation shepherdess with 18 sheep, Sian uses social media to inspire others to get involved in farming and has also started her own farming enterprise.

Sian’s main job is as Secretary for the Royal Isle of Wight County Show, where she enjoys bridging the gap between the public and the farming community.

Sian has also actively engaged with schools to promote YFC and agricultural careers.
