Vecta House Care Home In Festive Donation To Local Food Bank

Vecta House care home in Newport recently presented the Church on the Roundabout with a hamper full of food donations.

The Activities team arranged the collection in the care home, where staff were able to make donations.

Tanya Everson, Lifestyle leader at Vecta House, said:

“Here at Vecta house we love to help the community in any way we can.

"We know this year is practically difficult for some Island residents and we wanted to support them at this time of year.

"We have a great team at Vecta House and Staff had the donation box full to the brim with in only a few days."

Vecta House also received a donation during the same week from Dunelm’s Delivering Joy Campaign.

Lauren Chalkwright arranged the campaign at Newport’s Dunelm and received 46 gifts which Lauren delivered for the residents at Vecta House care home.

Nichola Shepherd, General Manager at Vecta House, said:

“We were overwhelmed by the amazing donation of gifts our residents received through the Delivering Joy Campaign.

"I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of all our residents to everyone involved. You truly have delivered joy this Christmas”

Vecta House provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care for 54 residents from respite care to long term stays.
