Firefighters have been called to Fairlee Road in Newport this evening (Monday).
Two appliances from Newport Fire Station are in attendance near Medina College, having been called just after 5pm.
A "small fire" at the base of an electricity pole has led to the call-out.
Engineers from Scottish and Southern Electricity Network (SSEN) are on their way to the incident.
