An Isle of Wight nightclub is introducing monthly nights out for adults with learning disabilities, following the overwhelming success of its first event.

On Wednesday (4) residents from Ryde House Group were given the chance to experience a night out at Newport's Fever and Boutique.

Family, friends and carers were also invited.

On Star Wars Day (May the fourth) they were even joined by a guest appearance from a Storm Trooper and Chewbacca.

Staff say the night went so well, it will now be a regular monthly event open to all adults with learning disabilities, different abilities and additional support needs.

Events will be held on the first Wednesday of each month, with a different theme each night.

Manager Nicki said:

"We've had amazing feedback from everyone who attended, the smiles really said it all!"
