New Community Engagement Leader At Isle Of Wight Donkey Sanctuary

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary has employed a Community Engagement Leader - thanks to lottery funding.

The sanctuary recently won funding from the National Lottery's Community Fund, allowing it to take on Tiffany Harvey in the new role.

The charity said it will allow it to increase the variety and range of community and stakeholder engagement, while Tiffany is currently in the process of creating purpose-built projects which link work to local groups.

Tiffany said:

“As the first and newly appointed Community Engagement Leader (CEL) here at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, I have been looking into local groups that I think we could work in partnership with to enhance the community projects that the sanctuary already undertakes.

"As this is the first time this post has been undertaken at the IW Donkey Sanctuary, I am very much excited about the future of this job role and working with the community.

"I am mostly looking forward to developing relationships with our local community groups and tailoring interactive activities for the individual community needs, with the hope of seeing the disadvantaged and disengaged flourish within our activities."

Any community groups that would like to get involved with the IOW Donkey Sanctuary and take part in a purpose-built project can contact Tiffany at community@iowdonkeysanctuary.org or phone (01983) 852693.
