A 20 year-old man from Kent has been arrested in Ryde on suspicion of rape.
On Sunday afternoon (2 February), officers attended the Travelodge in Lind Street, Ryde.
There they arrested a man on suspicion of child sex offences.
The 20-year-old, from Medway in Kent, was arrested on suspicion of raping a girl aged 13-15 and meeting a girl under the age of 16 following grooming. He remains in custody at this time.
