Jam-Packed Music Fundraiser Set For Newport's Strings

Newport's Strings Bar & Venue is hosting a fundraiser on behalf of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust.

Strawberry Jam will see a host of popular local musicians take to the stage on Saturday March 18 from 5pm.

Artists announced for the evening include the brilliant Tink, Kindred Found, Chasing Scarletts and The Damien Paul Band.

This is a not for profit event and all proceedings will be going straight to the Youth Trust.

Megan Brimson (below) — known as Strawberry Moon — is the brains behind the event.

She told Isle of Wight Radio:

"The idea for the fundraiser has been brewing in my brain for years, I've always wanted to do one but never knew how to get around to it until now.

"Being a big advocate of helping children's mental health, I'm also currently studying child psychology and the Youth Trust was my go to for the event.

"Strings was always the main venue we had in mind, so thanks to the charity, Claydon (Strings co-founder) and the lovely musicians who have said yes, we now have a fantastic six hour line-up!"

Doors for Strawberry Jam close at 1am, although all under 18s will need to leave by 11pm.

You can purchase tickets online.
