A dog which was trapped in mud in Bembridge yesterday (Wednesday) has been declared 'safe and well' following a Coastguard team rescue.
Springer Spaniel 'Jess' got into difficulty between Whitecliff Bay and Forelands after getting off her lead.
Bembridge and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue were tasked to a Springer Spaniel that had fallen over the cliff near Bembridge and landed in Mud.
Two cliff/mud technicians were deployed to assist with the recovery.
A spokesperson for Bembridge Coastguard confirmed:
"I'm pleased to say 'Jess' the Dog was recovered safe and well."
