Hampshire Cricket is bringing two of its star players to meet fans on the Isle of Wight this weekend — with prizes up for grabs.

Scott Currie and Aneurin Donald will visit Utilita’s Energy Hub in Newport High Street today (Saturday).

Anyone is welcome to stop by and speak with the pair.

Those feeling lucky will have the chance to enter a giveaway, with the prizes being a signed shirt, and tickets to the T20 Vitality Blast fixture between Hampshire and Middlesex at The Ageas Bowl in May.

Simon Jackson, manager at the Isle of Wight Energy Hub, said:

“If you cricket fans are planning on doing your Christmas shopping in Newport on Saturday, we’ve got an early gift for you!

“The Hub is on the High Street, so pop in to meet Scott and Aneurin — we’ll provide the teas and coffees, and who knows, you may even win the signed shirt!”

All-rounder Scott said:

"We're looking forward to seeing what goes on behind the scenes when it comes to powering the south coast, and meeting the people who work hard to keep us warm and powered.

“Utilita is a great asset to the club and our venue wouldn't function the same without them."

The event will run at Utilita Energy Hub, on Newport's High Street, between 11am and 12.30pm.

James Heyes, Group Partnerships Manager at Utilita, said:

“We’ve been partnered with Hampshire Cricket since 2018, and events like these are what it’s all about — heading into the local community and giving back.

“With the Newclose ground just down the road from our Hub, we know just how popular the sport is on the Island, so we hope to see lots of you in the Hub."
