Police have confirmed that two arrests have been made after suspected shoplifting incidents on the Isle of Wight.
Both arrests - that of a 41-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman - are in connection with suspected offences at the B&Q store in Dodnor Lane in Newport, reported to have happened on Sunday (6th).
Officers say a number of items of suspected stolen property have been seized as part of an ongoing investigation
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said:
"We’re continuing to work with retailers across the Island to ensure that businesses both big and small have the tools and support they need to tackle shoplifting, which can fund other forms of criminal activity."
Both of those arrested have been bailed until November 6th as the investigation continues.
