There are fears over the future of the Isle of Wight's last remaining M&Co. store after the firm entered administration for a second time.

Signs have appeared on the doors of the High Street shop in Ryde, revealing administrators have been appointed.

In 2020, the Island's other store, in Cowes, was forced to close as part of a company restructure.

Two years on, a search has now commenced for a new buyer for the store.

Teneo Restructuring Limited were appointed as joint administrators on December 9.

A sign on the door of the Ryde store reads:

"The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Joint Administrators. The Joint Administrators act as agents of the Company and contract without personal liability.

"The Joint Administrators are authorised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

"All licensed insolvency practitioners of Teneo Restructuring Limited are licensed in the UK."

M&Co. currently employs 1,910 staff across 170 shops in the UK.

The Ryde store remains open.
