Emergency Services Called To Wightlink Ferry After 'Sudden Death' Of Man

Emergency services were called to a Wightlink ferry on Friday (January 31) after a man died during the a Yarmouth to Lymington crossing.

Police were called at 12.45pm on  to a report of a sudden death of the man.

Officers attended the ferry terminal in Lymington, as well as colleagues from the ambulance service, and a man in his 80s was pronounced deceased.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.

The man’s next of kin have been notified.
