Police have released CCTV of a man they would like to speak to following reports of a trespassing incident in Wootton.
During the incident, which occurred shortly after 8pm on Thursday 13 February, it’s also reported that the man inappropriately touched himself over his clothing while in the garden of the property.
Officers have begun an investigation and enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
They'd also like to hear from anyone who witnessed a man acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident.
If you have any footage which may assist in the investigation, including doorbell camera, dash cam, mobile phone, or any other CCTV, you are also asked to get in touch.
Sergeant Matthew Browne, of Isle of Wight Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“I understand the concern that an incident such as this one can cause within the local community, but I want to reassure you all that we are working hard to progress our investigation.
"Local officers will be in the area throughout the day, carrying out further enquiries and completing follow-up reassurance patrols. If you see them on your travels, please come over and speak to them. They will be happy to hear from you, discuss any concerns and answer any questions.
“In the meantime, we will be sure to keep you all updated as much as we are able to.”
