Appeal Launched After Criminal Damage On Cars In Lake

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a number of vehicles parked in Lake were damaged.

The damage is believed to have occurred overnight on Currie Road on the dates of September 29 and October 2 between 5pm and 7pm.

The incidents - which may have involved several people - saw two vehicles keyed.

Anyone with information that may help enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 and quote reference number: 44230402543.

A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Police said:

"Please ensure you are vigilant at all times, calling police to report any suspicious activity, not just around your own property but anything suspicious in your residential area and community.

"We want people to feel confident to report crime and this approach plays into breeding confidence with the public and our local communities.

"In an emergency use 999 or 101 for non-emergency. It is not too late to report any suspicious activity to police."
