
A 16-year-old has been taken to hospital following a crash involving a moped on the outskirts of Newport.
His injuries aren't thought to be life threatening, police say.
A road closure has been in place on Calbourne Road, near the Blacksmith Arms.
It is expected to be lifted shortly.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
"We were called at 10.46am this morning (Thursday 17 February) to a report of a collision involving a moped on Calbourne Road.
"The rider, a 16-year-old from the Isle of Wight, has been taken to St Marys Hospital for treatment. He is not thought to be in a life-threatening condition at this time.
"Road closures are currently in place at Betty Haunt Lane and Forest Road but are expected to be lifted shortly."
