Walking the Island: St Helen's Village of Angels

St Helens community project, Village of Angels, has been running in the village for nine years, raising funds for local causes.

Island artists, crafts people and villagers come together to create beautiful angels, lit up in Christmas lights, to display in the village. While Islanders come from all corners of the Island to take a stroll around the village and enjoy the creations.

So for this month’s Walking the Island, we’re taking a walk around the beautiful Village of Angels. Angels are made in various mediums, including sculpture, 2D, photography and textiles – and can appear in public or private spaces around St Helens.

The project launch at 5pm on December 4th will include a Christmas Fayre at the Pavilion and outside The Vine Inn.

There will be a Winter Wonderland Secret Garden, the light switch on at 6pm, a raffle (at 8pm) and a children's angel competition, which will be displayed outside the Pavilion
