They have been installed to allow T-Mobile to carry out 'equipment works'.
The red line symbolises heavy traffic.
Island Roads says it expects them to be removed at around 3.30pm, or before rush hour.
In the meantime, drivers are being urged to find an alternative route or allow time for their journeys.
