Two Isle of Wight travel companies have completed high-profile appointments this week.

Red Funnel has appointed Lee Howes as its new Sustainability Officer as part of the push towards a greener future for the cross-Solent ferry operator.

Lee’s role is focused on developing, implementing, and delivering a holistic Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy for Red Funnel, which will be at the forefront of operations.

Lee said:

“It is an exciting time to be joining Red Funnel as we work hard to develop and implement our renewed ESG strategy.

"The business is at a pivotal moment and it’s great to be part of the team setting the scene for the future.

"I am looking forward to working with the team and putting my experience and skillset into action."

Fran Collins, Chief Executive Officer at Red Funnel, added:

“Lee is a dynamic and values-driven business leader who will be a real asset to the Red Funnel team.

"His appointment will help drive our ESG strategy and chart our course to Net Zero."

Wightlink welcomes Dan Haynes as Head of Retail
