Year two pupils at St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Ryde have been asked to write whatever they want to the footballer after his penalty miss on Sunday.

As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio,  the Island has been showing its support for the England footballers who missed their penalties against Italy.

Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were the trio subject to online abuse after the Championship final.

Police say they are investigating a number of posts sent to the players.

Meanwhile, Prince William has described the social media posts as "abhorrent".

Children at St Mary's have told Bukayo: "We love you just the way you are" among other touching words.
