Isle Of Wight Included In First Ever 'Extreme Heat' Warning

The Isle of Wight is included in the Met Office's first ever UK 'extreme heat' warning.

It comes as temperatures continue to soar across the UK, and the Island.

The amber alert, which is intended to raise awareness of the impact of heat on health, is expected to be in place until Thursday (22).

It means high temperatures, both by day and night, will continue this week leading to public health impacts

As Isle of Wight Radio previously reported, a Level 3 Heat Alert has already been issued for the Isle of Wight.

It’s been a scorcher on the Isle of Wight today (Sunday)! Here are the temperatures recorded by the IW Met Service ☀️
