An Isle of Wight man who was involved in a collision on his motorbike will return home to recover today (Friday).
20-year-old Oliver from Freshwater was involved in a crash with a van in the Town yesterday morning (Thursday) while he was en route to work.
But fortunately, he was wearing his helmet and walked away with some small stitches and bruising - despite being thrown around five metres along the road.
After spending the night in St Mary's Hospital, he will now return home.
Oliver’s mum Lisa thanked the emergency services.
She said:
“I want to say a massive thank you to all those involved in helping my son after his accident today. Ollie was incredibly lucky to have not sustained any serious injuries, I’m a very grateful mummy. X”.
