Globally Successful Isle Of Wight Author Releases Latest Sci-Fi Spectacular

An acclaimed Isle of Wight author has released the latest in his series of sci-fi books.

Former police officer Richard (R.R) Haywood is one of the UK's most successful writers of fantasy horror, with his latest release 'DELIO' already hailed a masterpiece by online reviewers.

Since he gave up policing to create the UK's best selling zombie horror series he's written more than 35 books, selling around two million copies, while securing deals with Hollywood studios in the process.

R.R Haywood told Isle of Wight Radio:

"Reading has always been a passion of mine. I moved around a lot as a child, using books as a form of escapism.

"In 2012, while serving as a police officer I started writing my post-apocalyptic series, 'The Undead', which nobody read at all for several years — luckily it became a huge hit later on.

"The initial idea for DELIO came to me as a child, while daydreaming in a maths lesson.

"What would happen if everyone around me suddenly froze? And now it’s incredible to see that idea materialise into a novel.

"It’s hard as an Indie author working without a safety net and not having the big corporations behind you, but I’m lucky to have built a dedicated fanbase over the years.

"Fortunately they seem to love DELIO so far. I can’t wait to write the next one!"

DELIO, which has sold in huge numbers since its release earlier this month, is available to purchase online as a Kindle or physical book.
