Faces of Isle of Wight And Hampshire’s Most Wanted Revealed

Crimestoppers has launched its first ever Most Wanted campaign to include the Isle of Wight today (Wednesday).

A digital 'advan' display, which can be seen at St Thomas' Square and in Morrisons carpark until 3.30pm today, features the faces of 27 wanted individuals.

Among those wanted are Samuel Woodford who committed assault in Newport, and Matthew Shipman who is wanted for his role in a Freshwater burglary.

The charity's UK's Most Wanted campaign, launched in 2005, has led to more than 4,300 arrests to date.

Those with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or complete a simple and secure anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org

Emily van der Lely, Regional Manager at Crimestoppers, said:

“This is the first time we have facilitated Most Wanted on the Isle of Wight and I look forward to increasing awareness and publicising wanted individuals.

Donna Jones, Hampshire and IW police and crime commissioner, added:

“I am pleased to support the Crimestoppers Hampshire and Isle of Wight ‘Most Wanted’ campaign.

“Anyone with information can report it to Hampshire Constabulary by calling 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or the charity’s website.”

The advan will travel to six other locations across the Island and Hampshire this week.
