Emergency Services Attend Person Injured In Freshwater Incident

Emergency services including the Isle of Wight Police, Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, and Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have been in attendance in Freshwater this evening (Friday).

Teams have been working to aid a person, believed to be a cyclist, whom onlookers say was involved in a collision with a vehicle whilst on the road at Moa Place, near to the West Wight Sports Centre.

One appliance from Freshwater is in attendance at the scene, along with the Co-Responder vehicle, and a paramedic officer.

It's currently unclear as to the severity of the persons injuries.

Southern Vectis Route 12 and Route 7 are affected by the incident. 
 

UPDATED 1925:

Crews are beginning to stand down from the incident.

The person is being conveyed on a blue light run to hospital.

The extent of their injuries remains unclear.

The road has now reopened.
