An elderly Islander has "surrendered" his license to police following a crash involving two horses.
Hampshire Constabulary says both of the animals are "confirmed to be okay".
Police were called to a crash between a vehicle and two horses this morning (Thursday).
The incident is said to have happened on Colwell Road, Freshwater at around at 11.30am.
A spokesperson for the force said:
"A pedestrian received minor injuries, the horses were confirmed to be okay. The driver, an 89-year-old man, surrendered his driving license to officers.
"Unfortunately I don’t have details for the pedestrian."
Colwell Road was blocked for a time but the route has since been cleared.
