COVID: 84% Of Isle Of Wight's 16 And Overs Fully Vaccinated

More than 100,000 people on the Isle of Wight have been double-jabbed against COVID-19.

It means 84 per cent of the Island's 120,425 16 and over population - or 101,070 people - have now been fully vaccinated.

In the week to September 26, just 552 jabs were handed out on the Island. Of those given, 405 were second doses.

Meanwhile, there have been 108,465 first doses Island-wide since the roll-out began.

Data shows 412 under 18s have been been double-jabbed, while 2,087 have received a first dose of a vaccine.

It comes as Isle of Wight school children, aged 12 to 15, start to be invited to receive their jabs.

When both first and second doses are taken into account, the Island has seen a total of 209,535 jabs given.
