Coronavirus: New Cases Confirmed On Isle Of Wight

Seven new cases of coronavirus have been recorded on the Isle of Wight.

Today's (Thursday's) figures have been released. 

They show the Island's rolling rate has risen 18.3, per 100,000. The UK average is 54.5.

The rate is used to measure patterns or trends in the Government's coronavirus figures over a period of seven days.

Since the start of the pandemic, 6,735 cases have been registered here.

In total, 281 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness.

One more death was recorded at the Isle of Wight's hospital, as previously reported.

Earlier today, Isle of Wight Radio exclusively revealed that more than 100,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have now been administered here.
