Coronavirus: Another New Case Recorded As Isle Of Wight Rolling Rate Falls

Another new case of coronavirus has been recorded on the Isle of Wight in today's (Thursday's) figures.

The Island's rolling rate has fallen to 17.6, per 100,000. The UK average is 28.4.

The rate is used to measure patterns or trends in the Government's coronavirus figures over a period of seven days.

Since the start of the pandemic, 6,765 cases have been registered here.

In total, 288 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness.

Three more people died in the community here, as previously reported.

Less than 500 people received their first coronavirus vaccine on the Isle of Wight in the last week.

There have now been more than 88,000 first jabs handed out on the Island.
