Cone With The Wind: Christopher Walks The Wight To Raise Mountbatten Money

A man from Ryde has got his stomp on once again to raise money for charity in honour of his mother.

Christopher Hayton has raised around £300 for Mountbatten by completing the full (26.5 mile) Walk the Wight route earlier this month.

Not only that, the fun-loving Islander completed the entire thing dressed as a traffic cone!

Christopher has previously helped Johns Club, Mountbatten, Comic Relief, Children In Need, the Donkey Sanctuary and a slew of mental health charities across the Island.

The next cause to benefit from Christopher's kindness will be mental health charity MIND this summer, with an announcement of his next mission set to be announced.

Christopher told Isle of Wight Radio:

"I did (the walk) in memory of mum, who died from cancer in 2018.

"Mountbatten supplied her bed and care, so please, please support them by sponsoring me for the walk!"

Those wishing to donate can still do so via Christopher's Just Giving page.
